how reliable are Lincoln Town Cars?

o_O ? asked:

Talking about a 2003 Lincoln Town Car Cartier L with 530,000 miles. Its an Ex Limo service car, I am guessing its been well kept in order to even make it over 100,000 miles. Anyways I need one for limo service as well, and looking for a cheap buy, just wanted some feedback. 530,000 is a lot of miles, that’s way over kill. IDK I herd from some that they went over one million on a single engine, and still kept going.

You heard wrong. According to the Guiness book of records the highest mileage original automobile engine was 577,000 miles. I’d be very surprised if that Lincoln was not on it’s third and possibly it’s fourth engine and probably transmission as well.

That’s not to say it wouldn’t be an excellent buy depending on the price and mileage since it’s last engine/transmission overhaul or replacement.
