One lie after another when it comes to Obama. First they claim he is so popular much more popular than Bush was. Yet, he needs all this extra security for his ceremony. Pres. Bush spent less than one-fourth of what Obama is spending. This is so sad, what a horrible abuse of power. People may not say, it but I know a lot of people who voted for him are pissed he bought a pimped out limo that cost so much money he is embarrassed to release the numbers.
It is so hard to argue with the stupid answers Obama supporters give, they just make no sense. It is like trying to stop a dog from barking.
It just makes no sense to me, they claim he has a 79% approval rating compared to Bush’s 22% yet he needs all this extra security. Why don’t you guys get a bullet proof glass giant jar and put your messiah in it, because it will be impossible for him to function day to day with 21% of the people not approving of him. Actually Bush spent $115 million on security. The $42 million Bush spent did not include the security bill.

there is still alot of racism in the states towards women and people of color, some have claimed obama won’t live to see a year in office, i personally hope he does, in fact if it means that he has to have a personal security force of 10,000, i’m all for it. complaining about how much a car costs is petty, and if, i say if he paid for it out of his own pocket, it’s nobody’s business. maybe that’s why the numbers weren’t released.

2.There is a higher security risk involved.
For the first time, President Bush has declared an emergency in Washington, D.C. to supplement the $15 million Congress has already allotted for security measures. It’s no surprise that security costs are sky-high — Barack Obama received Secret Service protection very early in his presidential run and record crowds (likely anywhere from 1.5 to 3 million people) are expected for the record number of events. In fact, the Secret Service will be in charge of security not just for inauguration day, but for four days, starting Saturday with Obama’s train ride from Philadelphia. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff told the AP:
I believe, that’s a TINY bit more of a turnout, than Bush HAD!

Secret Service, and all the governmental agencies inherent to the task of security, are responsible for security of the president, he has no control over this.
3.The car was built for him. He didn’t go out, and say, “Hey, I need a new ride.” This is standard procedure.

The amount of money spent on the Obama inaugural is really not that much more than Bush. It’s the way it is being reported. They are comparing everything, inaugural ball, swearing in, parade, security and the various private parties to just Bush’s inaugural ball. That makes it look a lot worse than it is. There has been $45m collected from donations to cover the ball. Compare that to the $42m Bush had for his ball. Now factor in the rest of events and Bush’s grand total is a lot higher than quoted. And, with inflation, the amounts are probably a lot closer than you’d think.
As for security. You just have to look at sites like this one to see how much hatred some people have for Obama. And there are some very sick people out there who will see it as their ‘patriotic’ duty to take Obama out if given the chance.
Bush had a safety net, namely Cheney, just like his father had Dan Quayle. Nobody wanted to see their vice presidents become president.

You thought you had a right to assemble guaranteed by the Constitution. Try carrying an anti-Bush sign on a street anywhere in the US when Bush went by. It was suddenly a vague Federal Crime – and the people who enforced this were legions of self-righteous, ignorant Secret Service men and women.
I’d be real surprised if Obama has even 1/2 the storm troopers that Bush kept around him.
