OK should I
have my wedding reception in
a hotel ballroom..
+ not have to do anything but show up and pick out food…
+ have trained servers to serve all 3 courses and keep drinks full
+ i wont have to rent all the china and drink ware i need
+ have a backup location if my outdoor ceremony gets rained out
+ have a definitely nice wedding stress free (or as stress free as a wedding can be)..
+ We have the entire back section of the hotel for our reception
+ We get a free stay in the honeymoon suite!
- I (have) well want to get a job so we can save up the money faster
- We have to do it on friday instead of saturday
+ BUT its $2000 cheaper since they couldn’t give us the day we asked for
+our out of town guest get a discount
- it will cost more but be more elegant…
over all cost of room and food: 3500
but i still have dress, flowers, tux, limo, favors, little stuff to buy
so I’m thinking $5000 total
OR
A community center
+ its only $160 for 6 hours ($20 per hour after that)
+ & -Im free to hire any cater i want.. (theres not too many good ones where i live mostly bbq lol)
+i can set things up exactly how i want them
- i have to deal with all of the decorating
- its not as big as i would like
- its a community center so its not as elegant..
- i **** the wall and will have to spend a lot on drapery to cover them
- we have to set EVERYTHING up and take it all down!!!

mostly i like this place because its cheaper and i think i will feel dumb spending so much on the ballroom.. but my mom says that if i want the fairytale wedding i dream of i should go the ballroom route! and that this is my only wedding i will ever have so i should make it special?!?!
OH and my future sister in law is a HATER and the ballroom would put her in her place.. not that that effects my over all decision its just a perk!!! lol!!!!
AHHHHH what should i do?!?!?!
my fiance and I are paying with CASH not credit i think its dumb to go into debt when we will be buying a home soon!!!
and with little help from my mom
shes paying for half of my dress and half of the food but shes about to have a baby so i don’t want to ask her for much more.. in my opinion its our responsibility to pay for it.. were adults!!
(but if i had a rich parent i wouldn’t refuse lol)
